During Nintendo’s direct broadcast, the publisher announced the release date of NES Remix 2. The first game, which takes classic 8-bit games and riffs on them as mini-games, came as a big surprise during the December live stream.
President of Nintendo Satoru Iwata also announced a new Super Luigi Bros mode. In this mode, players will run through the levels of the original Super Mario Bros, but they will be taking control of Luigi and play through the game’s once-familiar levels backward, scrolling right to left.
Nintendo probably has the most passionate and loyal fans. These kinds of games are what make Nintendo really special. They have been in the gaming market for such a long time, and still they are true to their roots.
Now NES Remix is already getting a sequel; NES Remix 2 is set to launch on April 25 for Wii U. Are you excited? Let us know in your comments!
