Blizzard is going to be sending out another wave of beta keys to allow more participants to enter the closed beta of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.
The exact number of invitations has not been revealed but they are expected to be handed out by next week, following a small patch that is landing on the beta server this week. The new patch is going to bring some needed crash fixes and other gameplay improvement tweaks.
“In order to help resolve some critical bugs and implement class tuning changes, we will be pushing out a new Beta and PTR patch later today,” reads an official post. “This patch will be relatively small, and a miniature patch note update will be provided once the patch is live.”
“In addition, shortly after testing has completed, we will be adding an additional wave of new players to the Closed Beta. Keep an eye on your inbox for an invite if you’ve opted in!”
Blizzard also warned that the new patch might end up in the loss of up to 24 hours worth of progress in the beta.
If you’re interested in getting into the closed beta, then be sure to have selected the relative option in the Preferences of the Battle.net options.
Reaper of Souls is the first content expansion pack for Diablo III and brings a new chapter for play; as well as increasing the level cap to 70 and adding a new Crusader class. The loot system has also been revamped to “Loot 2.0”.
