EA has updated its product page for Battlefield 4, giving us details for the game’s Naval Strike DLC pack.
Based around naval combat, the new DLC will bring four new maps that are set in the South China Sea. According to the subtle description on the website, the maps will have players capturing fishing villages across tropical Lost Islands, rampaging through a naval base, navigating through shipping docks, rocky islands and finally waging war across the “largest ocean stretch in a Battlefield map yet”.
The names of the new maps:
- Lost Islands
- Nansha Strike
- Wave Breaker
- Operation Mortar
Naval Strike will also introduce 10 new assignments, five new weapons, a new amphibious hovercraft vehicle and two new additional gadgets: 3GL (3 grenade launcher) attachment for the Assault class and Anti-Heli Mine (an aircraft disabling projectile for the Engineer class).
Finally Naval Strike is going to bring back the classic Battlefield 2142 Titan Mode in the shape of a Carrier Assault game mode.
A release date is unknown but the Second Assault DLC will release for Battlefield 4 on February 18 for premium members only. Those without a subscription will be able to purchase the new DLC two weeks later, that is on March 3.
