Austrian Retailer Pegs Watch Dogs for April 18 Release

Watch Dogs is supposed to release on April 18, if you would believe an Austrian retailer.

According to recent updates by Ubisoft, work on Watch Dogs has been going flawlessly. That’s pretty good news and actually reinstates the faith in us that it’s good the game was delayed. That said, the game has been hyped for far too long, and it’s time to hear an official release date.

Ubisoft may be keeping quiet on that but Austrian retailer Gamesonly has indicated that Watch Dogs will release on April 18, 2014 for all platforms, including the Wii U.

Then again, we’ve been getting all kinds of release dates from retailers for the PC version of GTA V. Hence, take this with a pinch of salt.

Watch Dogs was supposed to release last year alongside the new consoles. However, the developers decided they needed more time to add more features and polish off the existing one. Personally, I pegged it for a May-June release date. April is fine as well.

Watch Dogs is in development for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and PC.
