Recent talks regarding total length of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes’ main mission might have gotten you worried. As it happens, Hideo Kojima the Vice President of Konami Digital Entertainment took to Twitter to defend the game’s playtime.
In a lengthy tweet, he states that “I believe people will be satisfied with the Play Time of Ground Zeroes.” Reason being that the game takes a very nonlinear approach and comes pack with side missions and more.

Originally, this month’s edition of Game Informer had cited it took them only two hours to complete the main mission of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. Secondly, while looking at that we need to consider that Ground Zeroes is not intended to be treated as a full game. It is actually a prologue of MGS 5: The Phantom Pain.
It could be justified that even if the game’s main mission doesn’t keep us hooked for long, the five side missions coupled with Trial Records will allow you to replay the game.
The price of the game, on the other hand, is a separate issue. Whether the content being delivered in Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is worthy of $40 on retail or not, is still a question.
The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will set you back $20 for digital and $30 for a retail version while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have been priced at $30 and $40 for digital and retail versions respectively.
Metal Gear Sold 5: Ground Zeroes releases on March 18 in North America and March 20 in Japan and UK.
