Dead Island: Epidemic Closed Beta “Right Around The Corner”

The official website for Deep Silver’s upcoming Dead Island: Epidemic MOBA title has been updated to inform us that the game’s closed beta is “right around the corner.”

If you’re interested in participating then simply head to playdie.net and sign up for the closed beta. Newly registered players can directly join the band of alpha testers, even before the closed beta officially starts.

Additionally, all participants will be rewarded with exclusive in-game items as the beta proceeds. We don’t have information on what those rewards are exactly.

Called as a ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena) by the publisher, Epidemic pits three teams of survivors against each other. The game is free-to-play and is in development for the PC. According to Deep Silver, Dead Island: Epidemic will feature all the trademark elements of a Dead Island experience mixed along with MOBA segments.

“We received outstanding feedback from our Alpha testers and are looking very much forward to many new players who will join us and help us to make Dead Island: Epidemic the best possible ZOMBA experience,” says Isaac Parakhen, Brand Manager for Dead Island: Epidemic at Deep Silver. “Once the Closed Beta starts, we can’t wait to see players battling it out 24/7.”

Dead Island: Epidemic was announced last year during Gamescom in August. The game is being developed by Bloodline Champions developer Stunlock Studios.
