New Pulse Wireless Headset Revealed for PS4

Sony has confirmed today that a firmware update version 1.60 will hit PlayStation 4 tomorrow on February 4, which will bring compatibility support for the Pulse Wireless Headset. The update will also add general stability improvements and the ability to mute camera.

Additionally the PlayStation Blog showcased the image of their upcoming Pulse Wireless Headset 2.0 for the PlayStation 4 (above) which will retail for the suggested price of £79.99/€89.99.

It features an improved battery life, allowing players to use it for eight hours straight on a single charge. The headset will deliver 7.1 virtual sound and is compatible with Vita using a bundled 3.5mm stereo mini jack. Finally “its foldable design is ideal for travel and storage, so when you’re not using it, simply fold your headset up.”

PS4 and PS3 will also receive a new free Headset Companion App, which will give gamers greater control over their headset’s sound settings.
