Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution Gets Ninja World Tournament mode

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution has a new game mode inside of it, as announced by publisher Namco Bandai. One of the ways to play the game will be in a Ninja World Tournament mode.

In this addition, players will be whisked away to Festival Island, where they’ll compete against each other. Each round is set against three artificial opponents. By fighting and hitting opponents, Battle Orbs will be released.

Those with the most orbs collected by the end of the round will win the fight. After a full total, those who have gotten the most S-ranks will be awarded the title of best ninja.

There’s a hint that the fearsome Mecha-Naruto will be present in this mode. It was previously announced as a fully new character creation at the hand of Naruto’s maker.

Additionally, the publisher has released a small set of new screenshots, as well as the packshots of the game. There isn’t much to be seen in them, but they’re new, at least.

Two characters are promptly displayed. One warrior, wrapped in bandages, goes by the handle Mu. Another fighter in the screenshots is known as the Third Raikage.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will release in 2014 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC release has not been detailed.
