2014 is looking to be the year of some great horror titles, with The Evil Within leading the pack. Bethesda has released yet another trailer, this one for its Japanese community, which is once again filled to the brim with terror and horror.
The Evil Within is being directed by Shinji Mikami himself, an iconic name in the industry and the one behind Resident Evil. The game looks to embody “the meaning of pure survival horror” with an intricate story line and disturbing encounters.
Earlier this month, a freelance artist revealed a bunch of concept art for the game, all of which look extremely impressive.
The Evil Within puts you in the shoes of detective Sebastian Castellanos who after visiting a crime scene is taken to a land of monsters. He has to fight his way through while trying to keep his best friend alive as he begins to lose his sanity.
The game is scheduled for release later this year for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Bethesda will most probably announce a release date in the next couple of months.
