Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is definitely one the most anticipated title of this year, and it is the biggest release of February. Today the official rating summary of the game was revealed by Entertainment Software Rating Board.

The whole summary of the game is listed below, it includes tons of details regarding violence and nudity in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

This is an action-adventure game in which players control the vampire Dracula as he battles Satan and his minions. As players travel through time, they use a bladed whip and swords to kill human and fantasy creatures (e.g., vampires, demons, ghouls).”

“Several enemies use machine guns against players during combat. In some sequences, players can stab creatures repeatedly, cutting off limbs or tearing enemies apart. Intense instances of violence include depictions of a demon cutting off a man’s face; ghouls eating pieces of flesh; a character getting a stake driven into her head.”

“During the course of the game, some female creatures (e.g., demons) appear topless with jiggling breasts. The word “shit” appears in the dialogue.” and “Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Language, Nudity”

Few weeks ago an article on US gamer created a lot of controversy by saying that there is a scene in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 that was “blatant with its allusions to rape.” It went as far as comparing it to the cover of the much criticized Japanese erogame Rapelay that was waved around like the boogeyman by the media in order to condemn video games a couple years ago.

There is no mention of the rape in the summary that has been released by ESRB so the scene maybe wasn’t there in the game at all or it may have been removed due to the criticism it got. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is set to launch on February 25.
