There Won’t Be Any Future DLCs of Batman: Arkham Origins on Wii U
In a recent announcement, Warner Bros. Interactive has told that the studio is discontinuing support of the Wii U for Batman: Arkham Origins. This indirectly means that there will not be any single-player campaign DLC seeing its way to the console.
You must be wondering; what about those who bought the game’s Season Pass? Well, Nintendo is generous enough to refund the full price of the game’s Season Pass via eShop credit.
Nintendo also wrote an official statement at GoNintendo in which they explained the customers as to why they will not be seeing future content for Batman: Arkham Origins.
Nintendo explained that since the demand of the single-player campaign DLC is very low on Wii U, Warner Bros. have decided not to release it. Check out the complete published letter below:
Thanks so much for your support of Batman: Arkham Origins on Wii U.
We are contacting you today because you purchased the Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass for Wii U. We hope you’ve been enjoying the content that has been delivered thus far.
Based on demand for Downloadable Content on the system, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has made the decision to remove its offering of the upcoming new story campaign for Wii U. As a result, we will be crediting the entire $19.99+tax cost of the Season Pass back to your Nintendo eShop account. You will still be able to enjoy the content already released thus far.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your support of the game.
Nintendo of America Inc.
It should be noted that customers are receiving full payment of the Season Pass, Nintendo is not deducting any amount spent on previously released content.
The Season Pass included three skin packs, Initiation DLC, and the new story campaign.
