Ready To Run on PS4 Revealed – Teaser Made Of “Post-Processed In-Game Footage”

Publishing and development studio Beatshapers has announced one of its first projects for the new generation with Ready to Run on Playstation 4. It’s currently pegged for release in the second quarter of 2014.

With Ready to Run, we go back to the golden age of R.C. car racing. A short teaser with mandatory dubstep introduction shows us a remote controlled buggy.

In total, there will be over 15 of these little cars with realistic physics, bouncing off a huge, intertwined track. These city environments will be presented as one connected whole and have over 30 configurations for different race modes.

We reached out to Alexey Menshikov to find out just how much of the trailer is genuine gameplay footage. It turns out; it’s pretty true to the real deal, as Menshikov had this to say:

This is post-processed in-game footage (all models and road are from [this] game), the PS4 render looks very close.

Post-processes [are] actually flares and tone mapping.

Since this looks like joyous fun for all, there will be a multiplayer component. It will be possible to either compete or collaborate with friends.

Additionally, the game can be played offline as well as online. Moreover, multiplayer will feature both the real time variant as an asynchronous version.

Prior to this, Beatshapers was responsible for publishing many small titles like WizOrb, Canabalt and Jetpack Joyride.

Ready to Run makes us think a lot of Re-Volt and Micro Machines. We’re totally fine with that.
