As a licensed product, this action title revives the original 80s trilogy directly. Players will relive the sequences and stories from First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo III.
Gameplay will alter between stealth sections, massive turret shootouts, bloody take-downs and the mandatory movie-based quick time event sequence. It looks like it could bring the simple entertainment of these flicks to life.
There’s just one itch that probably a lot of consumers feel. Rambo: The Video Game looks “dated” and not the appropriate throwback to the 80s kind.
Models look made out of plastic and: that hair. Just look at that glorious 80s perm; it’s rock solid.
Regardless, this licensed product is confident enough to already think about support. In a quote from publisher Reef Entertainment, the following is mentioned:
Although the main game is now complete our journey with Rambo continues as we will soon start development on the game’s first DLC expansion pack with our partners at Teyon.
Pre-orders for the game are available now, with select stores offering people limited edition figurines. These 3-inch models are hand-painted and represent either Rambo from First Blood or First Blood Part II.
Rambo: The Video Game will release for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
