Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is Without Multiplayer
This might be great news for some people and very bad news for others. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor will only be a single-player game. The game is designed to focus wholly on the single player aspect. This was confirmed by the game’s official Twitter.
@TobiasKarlsson_ Alas, no co-op. Shadow of Mordor is being crafted wholly as a single-player experience.

Most of the gamers, don’t want to be dragged into the multiplayer scene, they like having all the time with the game to themselves only. It could also prove to be good to start to the series with developers focusing on a strong single player campaign only. Multi-player feature can be added in the future titles of the game.
Ubisoft did the same thing with their hugely popular Assassins Creed series. First two games in the series (Assassins Creed & Assassins Creed 2) were single player only, and still Assassins Creed II is considered to have one of the best Single-Player Campaign on last-gen of consoles.
Some developers focus on the Multiplayer aspect of the game too much and just include single player in the game because it is a requirement.
Battlefield 4 is one of the examples, it features relatively weak single player experience, but have a very strong impact in the multiplayer. The main reason behind Battlefield’s great sales is their multiplayer.
This is just a start for the Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, they have chosen the right path to focus on one portion of the gameplay and put all their effort into it. The gameplay video was released last week and the game was looking pretty good.
This game is definitely the one to look out for if you like playing single player only games. Though the people who live for multiplayer only, must be disappointed with this news as the game was shaping up to be a good action-adventure title and could have offered some new things in terms of co-op and multiplayer.
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be available on Xbox One, X360, PS4, PS3 and PC. However, there is no official release date set for the game.
