Broken Age launch title was released alongside the release of Act 1 of the game. Broken Age was made available for the backers of its much-publicized Kickstarter for a little while now, those who didn’t help fund the project now have a chance to try it out as the game is available starting today on Steam for PC, Mac, & Linux for $24.99.
The game tells two parallel stories of different characters; you can switch between the characters at any time. The game follows Vella, a girl who defies her village’s tradition of sacrificing maidens to a gargantuan monster and seeks a way to destroy it, as well as Shay, a boy living in isolation on a spaceship who wants to go for a real adventure.
To spice up the game’s release, Double Fine Studio has released a Launch trailer of the game which showcases the beautiful hand-painted visuals as well as some behind the scenes footage of Schafer, some of the voice cast and the complicated development process.
It’s worth a watch, even if you’ve already played the game. The First act of the game is released for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android platforms.
