This news shouldn’t come as any surprise to anyone who is familiar with Electronics Arts. EA has confirmed that Respawn Entertainment’s highly anticipated Titanfall will be receiving additional content. The publishers announced it in their investors call.
Although the DLC for the game has been confirmed, but EA has said nothing about the details of the DLC. EA’s Andrew Wilson explained:
“We’re planning extra content already for the product, but in the nature of the live service, I think that that will evolve over time as we see how the player base evolves through the year.”
Wilson did not provide any clarification on what evolve meant, but still the good news is that additional content will be there in the game.
Now that the DLC announcement is made, you can expect to see some sort of Season Pass for the Titanfall. Although Respawn Entertainment promised that there would not be any micro-transactions but they did not mention anything regarding the Season Pass.
Players can expect Titanfall DLC to be a lot like the content deployed in Call of Duty franchise. Players can expect to see more maps, with each map offering new multiplayer arenas. The common pricing structure for the multiplayer shooters DLC is around $15 each.
The game could offer new Mechs as Titanfall DLC as well. New types of mechs will definitely get the adrenaline running for anyone who is interested in the game.
For now we can only speculate, there will be DLC but we are not sure what new things they will bring to the table. Titanfall is set to launch on March 11th for the Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360.
