The Elder Scrolls Online: Imperial Edition Announced

Bethesda toady announced the Imperial Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online, which will be available in both physical and digital formats.

The special-edition was leaked earlier today through an image posted on Amazon. Since then, Bethesda has officially detailed the package which will contain the following items:

  • Collector’s edition box and Steelbook packaging
  • Molag Bal statue: a collectible 12-inch statue featuring Molag Bal, Daedric Prince of domination and enslavement
  • Map of Tamriel: a printed map detailing alliance-controlled zone and the ultimate conquest: Cyrodiil
  • Emperor’s Guide to Tamriel: a 224-page illustrated guide annotated by the Imperial scholar, Flaccus Terentius

Opting to snatch the digital package will net players bonuses that include the option of playing as an Imperial in any alliance, a white Imperial horse, a mudcrab vanity pet and the Ring of Mara, which gives an experience bonus when playing alongside a friend.

The Imperial Edition will be available on all platforms for $99.99 in North America, £89.99 in the U.K. and €99.99 in Europe. The digital version will be sold for $79.99, £69.99 or €79.99.

The Elder Scrolls Online will be released for PC and Mac on April 4. The game comes with a 30-day subscription to the MMO, but players must then spend $14.99 (€12.99/£8.99) a month to continue playing.
