Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition Now has Cross Platform Multiplayer Support

The classic first person shooter of 3D Realms is now on Steam as we all know, what’s more is that Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition has now been updated to support cross platform multiplayer support!

The recent updates to the game detailed via Steam list three added features including Duke Match and cooperative modes for up to 8 players online, Hundreds of maps via Steam Workshop and finally Cross-platform play for PC, Mac, and Linux users.

“Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition is the definitive compilation of the landmark first-person shooter that includes enhanced versions of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition and three unique expansion packs as well as the original version of the classic game,” reads the game description on Steam.

There are a total of over 200 maps in the game now that have all been created by the users through the Steam Workshop.

So this means you do not need to be on the same platform as your friends from the 90’s if you want to get a blast of nostalgia that Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition can bring you.

Furthermore, the game is available on discount right now and if you are quick enough to hit here, you will be able to save up to 60 percent on the game’s original price. The game has been priced at $9.99 but the discount (ending January 31) let’s you buy it for $3.99 only.

Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition was released through Steam on March 20, 2013 and includes Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, Duke Caribbean: Life’s A Beach, Duke it out in D.C., and Nuclear Winter.
