Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Dev Diary Explores Open World Elements
Developers of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 are steadily introducing chunks of content from the game for some time now. The last trailer shared by Konami Digital Entertainment reintroduced the major cast, this time they are exploring it’s open world elements.
Dave Cox, Producer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and Studio Head of European Production for Konami Digital Entertainment B.V and Enric Alvarez, Head of Development at MercurySteam lead our way. The second development video takes us behind the scenes of the huge open world environment that has been developed.
We are told how the events of the game take place in one single night and revolve around a modern fictional city and the Dracula’s castle. The gothic look of the castle impacts the surroundings in great detail while ensuring that it looks familiar to the past titles. Furthermore, the evil presence of Dracula himself is supposed impinge greatly on the environment.
Fans of the Spanish architecture should be glad to know that Madrid played a big role in influencing the designs of the locations in the game. The city also happens to be the hometown of MercurySteam so I am expecting they would present it fairly well.
Lastly, you will get an insightful look at the massive bosses and other creatures that the player will come across in the city while prowling his way to confronting the Satan himself.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 will bite down on PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 25, 2014 in North America.
