A new trailer for Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z shows off in-game footage of some its crossover content. It previously announced that the game would get a link to Nuiguruma Z.
This piece of content is probably the least known for Western audiences. Nuiguruma Z is a zombie slasher flick with a lolita character that transforms in a fierce ninja. She also has a talking stuffed bear.
In the game, this translates to a brightly pink outfit, amidst the dark horde. In the clip, we see just how grotesque that gets.
For reference: Think of the absurdity of Lollipop Chainsaw and its schoolgirl antics offsetting the zombie apocalypse. Colorful rainbows splash over the screen in unison with tons of cel-shaded blood and gore, just like the prior title.
Blows exchanged range from lightning fast combos with tons of flash to more standard sword fighting. There’s also a pretty brutal headbutt animation going on.
You can also view some other, odd enemies in the game. A giant, quadrupedal robot will stand in your way, which feels a little like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
In prior news, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z revealed a lot of differences with the known core design. More crossovers are planned, with the addition of a Mighty No. 9 costume.
Last week, publisher Tecmo Koei had to delay the release of the game in Europe to March 21, 2014. In turn, it also received a free range of digital comics to explain some of the story.
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will release for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
