Crackdown 3 Announcement Seems Imminent

Some rumors that have been circling around internet suggest that Crackdown 3 could possibly be announced today; according to Microsoft executives and Ruffian Games.

Last night, Microsoft Games Studios boss, Phil Spencer teased an imminent announcement for Monday morning saying that it’s always good to announce games and calling it as a fun part of the job:

This Tweet was followed by another Tweet from Xbox Live’s director of programming, Major Nelson, who also stated about an upcoming busy morning:

We have already seen Spencer teasing a lot of announcements, but those are usually directed towards developers. But as you can see, this one is clearly addressing gamers.

The reason why everyone is expecting it to be Crackdown 3 is because of a Tweet from Ruffian Games who are on to announcing something. It’s been almost four years since the last Crackdown game and Spencer himself named Crackdown as one of the titles that would make good use Xbox One Cloud Technology.

The rumors about Crackdown 3 on Xbox One have been going on since the reveal ceremony of Xbox One when a NeoGAF member spotted a Crackdown agility orb at the on-screen demonstration.

OXM has also received an image which apparently indicates that the new FPS from Ruffian Games will run at 1080p and 60 Frames per Second. Furthermore, the game will make good use of Kinect 2.0.

It’s only a matter of hours now and we shall know what Microsoft and Ruffian Games have in-store for us. In the meanwhile, tell us what are you expecting this unannounced to be?
