Sanctum 2 is Free-to-Play on Steam Until January 27

Those of you who did not receive a chance to play Sanctum 2 can now enjoy it over the weekend. Starting from Thursday, until Monday morning, Steam is offering Sanctum 2 as a free-to-play title.

Even if you cannot play the title over the weekend, you may want to check out the store as the game is at 85% off; making the base version only for $2.24. The complete pack with all the DLCs included will charge you around $3.75 and a four-pack will cost you just $7.

Sanctum 2 can be defined as the perfect hybrid of first-person shooter and tower-defense genres which delivers a perfectly unique experience. The game is pretty fun to play and you should definitely check it out while it is free. And even it is not, you cannot get a better game for $2.

The game is developed by Coffee Stain Studios using Unreal Engine 3 and offers both single player and multiplayer experiences. The game was greatly appreciated by the critics who praised it for its uniqueness, challenging & enthralling gameplay, and improved mechanics over its predecessor.

The game managed to receive 77 on Metacritic and an aggregate of 78.00% on Gamerankings. However, before you jump into installing the game, I’ll recommend checking out the official system requirements which are:
