Microsoft Wants Racing Game Every Year, More Forza?
This is happening nowadays more than it needs to, any franchise that increases in popularity is being milked by their companies.
Assassins Creed and Call of Duty have been coming out every single year for quite some time now. Nintendo also is trying to make Mario its annual franchise.
Microsoft wants to make Forza game every year, and they want Turn 10 and Playground to take turns in developing the titles every year, as Treyarch and Infinity Ward do with their widely popular franchise ‘Call of Duty’.
A British sports car company by the name of “Ultima” has confirmed an extended partnership with Microsoft to have their cars featured in a new game to be released later this year. Forza Motorsport 4 and 5 have been a success according to Ultima in this Facebook post, which has since been removed:
Our relationship with the Microsoft Corporation continues after the success of being included in Forza Motorsport 4. We are now also included in the latest Forza Motorsport 5 game which was released in late 2013. We have also recently agreed a new contract with the Microsoft Corporation to be included in a new video game to be launched later in 2014.
The Ultima is proving to be very popular and is providing excellent worldwide publicity and recognition for our marque.
What do you make of the annual franchises? Would you play them every year with the same commitment? Tell us in your comments!
