Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is expected to receive a lot of new content in an upcoming new patch, including new areas, bosses, mysteries and more.
Developer Square Enix has announced plans to detail that patch via a live stream that will take place on Saturday, January 25 at 6 a.m. (CST) on YouTube Live, Niconico Live and Twitch.
The stream will be hosted by producer and director Naoki Yoshida, who will be previewing content for upcoming patch 2.2 alongside assistant director Hiroshi Takai. Together they will also be answering questions submitted by fans, as well as talking about the upcoming PlayStation 4 version.
The major highlights of the stream will include showcasing of the new Leviathan boss – the game’s next Primal and two new dungeons: the Ruins of Amdapor dungeon, in which players will discover the remains of a long-lost civilization, and The Binding Coil of Bahamut, a challenging level 50 dungeon designed for groups to tackle together.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will launch for the PlayStation 4 on February 22, 2014 when the console launches for the first time in Japan. The game will be in beta mode but will invite every PS4 player to play. The game will officially release later this year, provided everything goes fine. Square Enix seems pretty confident that it will.
