This could be a ray of hope for the Dragon Quest fans as a trademark filed in US by Square Enix for something called Seeds of Salvation could be related to a Dragon Quest game.
Why could this be something related to Dragon Quest? Well, when the company had registered the trademark in Japan, they had also registered Luminaries of the Legendary Line.
The reason that Siliconera gave for relating them to DQ was that both of them use the same alliteration that the modern Dragon Quest games use.
For instance, Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen uses the two C’s while Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride uses two H’s in the same pattern.
Lastly, Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation, and Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies use follow suit too.
The long list of “goods and services” that it has been listed under includes the typical things from video game software to music and animation fictional stories and from sound recordings in the form of optical discs to electronic publications.
What do you think Square Enix is working on?
We will be glad if it really is a Dragon Quest game, it has been a while since they have been releasing localized games for the series that do not see the light of day in the west.
The US trademark is at least evidence that whatever it is, it will be releasing in the west.
