Creator of Super Smash Bros.; Masahiro Sakurai has posted a screenshot of the upcoming 3DS brawler which somewhat looks like from a single-player mode.
Previously, we heard that Super Smash Bros. will not feature any story mode or cut-scenes.
The screenshot shows Mario standing in a green environment with some sort of futuristic platforms; hinting at an Adventure Mode. The visuals from the screenshot are clearly indicating that it’s the 3DS version as the Wii U version will look much better.
It was first posted on Miiverse and made fans hope for a story-mode but they were let down at that very instant as Sakurai told the fans not to expect anything like The Subspace Emissary:
Pic of the day. Where am I……?? To be clear, the new Super Smash Bros. games does not feature a story mode like The Subspace Emissary.
Super Smash Bros. is expected to launch somewhere in 2014 on Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. And these two versions will give room to ‘Exclusive Trophies’ which will add a lot of variety to the game.
The development duties are also being fulfilled by a team Namco Bandai people; comprising of Masaya Kobayashi and Yoshito Higuchi. At the time of partnership, Kobayashi said:
We will fully utilize our experience and knowledge in action/fighting game development, technical capability, and organization strength, and we hereby promise you that we will developer the best and most powerful Super Smash Bros. titles ever!
Are you rooting for a story-mode like in previous brawlers? Let us know!
