Developer Hideo Kojima has put an image of a new action figurine for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on Twitter. Let’s just say that the depiction of female character Quiet is rather revealing. Hopefully, you like skin colored plastics.
In the picture, Quiet is dressed, if that’s the appropriate term, in a skimpy bikini, with destroyed stockings, combat boots and one long glove. She also holds a sniper rifle in the other hand.
While it’s a work in progress for now, this figurine will come from popular brand PlayArts Kai, known for their realistic and flexible toy line. It’s the manufacturer of choice for many franchises and they have had experience with the Metal Gear series prior to this engagement.
Hideo Kojima recently suffered some backlash for the revealing depiction of Quiet, seeming to be unnecessarily nude for an operative. Warding off criticism, the developer stated to have reasons for this to happen.
Prior mentions of Quiet being an “erotic” choice were later on amended as being misinterpreted. It’s all in our heads, it seems.
Moreover, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was rated for mature audiences, because it featured a rare tag of sexual violence. There is also a cutscene present where Quiet can be seen getting tortured, while tied down to a chair.
It looks like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has a lot of charged material to work on.
