Thief: PC System Requirements are Demanding


Eidos Montreal has revealed the PC system requirements that will be needed in order to run the new Thief title.

Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows Vista with platform update
  • CPU: High-performance dual core CPU or quad core CPU
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 4800 series / Nvidia GTS 250
  • DirectX: DirectX 10
  • HDD/SSD: 20 GB

Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 or 8
  • CPU: AMD FX 8000 series or better / Intel i7 Quad Core CPU
  • RAM: 4+ GB
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD / R9 series or better / Nvidia GTX 660 series or better
  • DirectX: DirectX 11
  • HDD/SSD: 20 GB

As you can see, the game is pretty demanding; which will come as good news for those who have recently upgraded their rigs to take on the next-gen era.

Last year, the developer stated that the PC version is being focused on as the primary platform for Thief, and that it will boast extra features enabling players to make the game even more beautiful.

The game will also be having AMD enabled features like support for its Eyefinity multi-display technology, TrueAudio and the upcoming Mantle API.

Thief releases next month on February 25, 2014 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
