Valve has revealed at their Dev Days developer conference on Seattle that its PC gaming service steam has grown up to 75 million active users.
Dev Days is a developers-only event for those working with Steam and Steam Machines (the Alienware version of which will be available in September).
That is an increase of 19 million users since October of 2013, when Valve announced that they have surpassed 65 million users. Since then, steam service has seen two major sales.
First one in November, and the second one which was much bigger in December. At one point in the December sale, Steam’s peak concurrent user count even reached 7.6 million.
They have also provided some figures, which show the worldwide sales data. A chart was provided as you can see in the image it breaks down the percentage of Steams sales in various regions.
There is a little surprise there as 81%, is an almost even split between North America and Western Europe.
Valve had a significant presence at CES 2014, revealing 13 steam machines partners.
