As we reported earlier, the GTA 5 title update 1.09 has come down directly to take care of the massive cash exploits and the cheats that were making them happen.
A post on the Rockstar support page has given two lined patch notes that start from anti-cheat measures and end on cash exploit fixes.
If you had made it a habit to make money from the cheats that let you hack through the game, it’s time that you get used to the feeling of a bank account that is a lot emptier. The money that you have attained through illicit means might be at risk same as you.
The support page says that the GTA 5 title update 1.09 will introduce “improved anti-cheat measures” as well as “fix for several GTA$ and RP exploits” in the game.
Rockstar has previously stated that they keep looking for illicit activities and keep reversing illegitimate transactions in the game and this update comes right in line with their fair play policy.
“To keep the gameplay environment as fair as possible for legitimate players, we routinely do sweeps to separate out cheaters and modders, and to reverse any illegitimate transactions.”
It is great to see the developers really putting their heads to the problems that the game is facing these days but what we would love to hear is that they are not planning to stay confined to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
