Indeed the Xbox One is a fully social console but the features have been spread out across a range of applications which as a result makes some of them less streamlined and hence not so much on the go.
Microsoft has said that the next major firmware Xbox One update is going to focus on these matters.
Microsoft’s Marc Whitten was talking to Endgadget about the first major Xbox One update when he shared his point of views regarding the social features and the certain level of obscurity that they face:
“The feedback we’ve gotten is pretty valid. Some of the social stuff is hidden or harder to use than it was on the Xbox 360. So you’re gonna see us come out with an update where, well, we’re going to fix those things.”
A lot of Xbox One users have been piling up their feedback and raising voices that ask for a more handy arrangement of certain features of the console – social features are on top of that list.
According to Whitten, what they are trying to do is theme up different features. Look at the areas that are broken in the architecture and more importantly push the “live” experience further.
Whitten intimated that he would prefer to do everything that the company had talked about at last year’s E3 before this year’s E3 occurs. This means, though it is not an assured, that we might be looking at the firmware update pretty soon.
