Less we forget about Project Spark that was announced during Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2013. The game’s beta has been underway for some time and players are already showcasing astounding works that would make others wish they had been included in the beta testing.
Targeted for release on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, Project Spark allows players to create games from nothing. There are no boundaries and the only limitations are that of your own creativity. In theory players can opt of a third-person, sidescrolling, over the top or first-person perspective.
There are plenty of genres to choose from, including turn-based RPG, an FPS shooter, dungeon crawler, a mere adventure title and more. Level of detail depends on how much time a player is willing to invest or the ideas incorporated.
Here is a racing title uploaded by ‘AnAverageRecon’ where you have to drive a car around the track to complete the fastest time. The car though is not an in-game asset and has been built from scratch by the player himself. You can browse through his channel where he has uploaded the whole process involved in making the car.
The car isn’t the only thing from the player. Here’s a fully functional Portal Gun, complete with first person view and even momentum.
Likewise there are many other product showcases from various users.
You can search them up on YouTube or take a look at the ones posted by GameZone.
