The hype generated for Titanfall so far has been tremendous but how much will the game really sell when it releases in a couple of months?
Industry analyst Michael Pachter predicts that Titanfall is all set to sell between 6-10 million units and will receive a Metacritic score of no less than 80; which in fact is the lowest projection on his part. If the title does however land a 90 or more Metacritic score, then Pachter believes 10 million sale to be possible.
“My best guess is 6 – 10 million units, depending upon the game review scores,” he told igameresponsibly. “If it gets above a 90, it will likely be at the high end of that range, below an 80, at the low end.”
Based on the game’s reveals so far Titanfall is indeed looking astounding. Recently though, a rumor regarding the game’s struggle with 720p resolution on the Xbox One may have put players on the edge. While developer Respawn has assured that Titanfall would be released with no hitches, we cannot sit back idly with EA’s record showcase of SimCity and Battlefield 4.
Here’s to hoping that Titanfall receives a solid release and doesn’t get infected by the incompetence shown with the recent Battlefield 4 release.
