Good news if you’re playing Minecraft on Playstation 3, because developer 4J Studios is back in working order and will continue to look at fixes.
In a recent tweet, the company has sent out its best wishes, along with the following message:
Looks like we have some nasty PS3 issues to fix, then on to TU14 and other platforms.
That does seem to imply that their priority right now is on working on the Playstation edition first and only then move onto the other versions. For instance, the Title Update 14 for Xbox 360 is listed as moving on past those PS3 problems.
Whether or not this will affect the time for the update to arrive is unknown, which is equally true for Xbox One and PS4 ports. We have contacted 4J Studios for comment and will update you as soon as they reply.
Since its release on the Playstation Network, some Minecraft players have had rather alarming troubles with the game’s functionality. One of the worst problems affecting users is a save bug, which wipes away any progress.
We suppose you could see it as playing on super hardcore mode, where even exiting the game means death, but you’ll probably want to build neat things instead.
On the PC version of the game, you can expect the 1.8 snapshot to start shortly. In a recent tweet, Minecraft developer Jens Bergensten stated:
We’re working towards getting the first 1.8 snapshot out by tomorrow. That will be 14w02a!
