Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Dev Diary Talks About Doomsday Clock

By   /   Jan 7, 2014

A new developer diary for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has been released today by Square Enix. The new media focuses mainly on the game’s Doomsday Clock that is counting down the final 13 days until the world is destroyed.

As stated previously, the clock bounds players to a time limit and hence greatly influences their choices. Achieving everything the game has to offer is virtually impossible in the given time frame. Every major action performed by the players will advance the clock. Hence careful planning is required to venture forward.

The video features several members of the development team that talk about just that and more on combat gameplay. You can also take another look at the game’s open-world environment which is looking splendid.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will release for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 11 in North America and February 14 in Europe.
