GTA: San Andreas Gets New Mobile Trailer

Following its release in December last year, Rockstar has released a new trailer today highlighting action sequences from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas being played on mobile devices.

The title was originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2004 and then for the PC and Xbox in 2005. It though is now available for purchase on iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle devices for $7. You can take a look at it on the respective online store – Apple’s App Store, Google Play or the Amazon AppStore.

The game though has not just been simply ported over. Rockstar has spent time in improving its visuals. Character models are more detailed now with smoother animation sequences as well as good textures.

Lighting has been improved to make the overhauled environment look better on HD screens. The game’s controls have also seen to a significant improvement to take into account a mobile’s touch-based interface.

By default the game offers a three weapon aim cycle (auto, free and touch targeting), as well as “dual analog stick controls”. However the game also features support for Bluetooth mobile controllers so players finding the touch-based interface annoying can switch over.
