Nvidia has launched Tegra K1, a new graphics chip for mobile devices. The unveiling of the chip came along with the news that Unreal Engine 4 will also be brought to mobiles using the next generation chip by Nvidia.
At CES 2014 in Las Vegas, a demonstration was held that showed off what the chip can pull off with the Unreal Engine 4. With the quality of graphics that the Tegra K1 can render and the games that the Unreal Engine 4 is able to develop, could result in a welcome advancement in the mobile gaming world.
Nvidia posted on their official website to announce the same and claimed that the new chip will revamp the game development saying: “Tegra K1 changes everything: the lines between mobile, desktop and console don’t make any sense any more. They’re gone forever. It’s now possible to run the same UE4 based game on all three platforms today.”
Tegra K1 with its 192 Kepler cores, including DirectX 11 and Open GL 4.4 will make it easier to power up next generation technologies like Unreal Engine 4.
