There are many titles planned for release on Microsoft’s next-gen consoles but the followers would perhaps be more interested in the status of the new Halo for Xbox One.
Until now, Microsoft had yet to officially list the game down for a release date this year. Many feared it to perhaps miss its deadline this year and be pushed back to early 2015.
Rob Semsey, Senior PR Manager for Halo and Forza Motorsport franchises, though tweeted earlier today that Halo for the Xbox One will definitely release in 2014. He also confirmed that they have yet to finalize an official name for the title and so for now is simply being referred to as Halo. Rumors of it being called Halo 5 are being given the cold shoulder by Microsoft.
“Xbox Wire today mentioned a few 2014 titles; Halo on Xbox One not listed due to official name of the next title not announced yet,” Semsey said. “Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014.”
The new Halo for Xbox One was revealed last year and was confirmed to be running at 60 FPS on the console. There has been no mention of the resolution though. If the game is indeed being scheduled for a release in fall of this year, expect a full reveal to happen in the summers.
