Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Will Not Increase Number of Active Skills
Blizzard has confirmed that its upcoming Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo 3 will not increase the number of active abilities in the game.
Replying to a user on the Diablo 3 forums, Community Manager Stephanie ‘Lylirra’ Johnson said that there are “No current plans to increase the 6-skill limit.” She also added that the 6-skill limit is good enough to “give you flexibility in your build choices, but not too much to where you don’t have to make thoughtful decisions about what you put on your bar.
She revealed that before Diablo 3 was officially released, the development team were juggling around the idea of seven skills but decided against it in the end. Johnson also noted that players will get a 4th passive slot at level 70.
In related news, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will feature the addition of a new artisan ally called Myriam Jahzia, who is capable of very unique abilities such as enchanting your rare or legendary items to be more powerful by re-rolling one attribute of your choice.
Only certain attributes can be re-rolled and an eligible attribute can be re-rolled as many times as you wish. However, if the player wishes for Myriam to bring back the previous attribute then that can be done as well.
