Titanfall to Include Halo 4’s Tactical and Bumper Jumper Controller Layouts

Respawn Entertainment continues to hand out small pieces of information for Titanfall as the game crawls slowly to its release date in Spring this year.

Posting on the official Respawn Entertainment forums, one developer confirmed that the game would support multiple controller layouts, including the “Tactical” and “Bumper Jumper” schemes that many Halo fans would be familiar with.

There is a layout with melee and crouch swapped, as well as a variant that allows for jumping on a bumper. (my personal favorite, as it allows you to use the ‘look’ stick while jumping),”

More than one controller layout confirmed!

The image below details the default “Field Controls” of the game on the Xbox 360 controller.

Titanfall Controller Scheme

Earlier this week, Respawn Entertainment revealed that sniping in Titanfall would be a “pretty different animal than what you’ll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter.”

Famed techniques like quick scoping, where a player kills someone in between switching scopes or no scoping, where players kill without using a scope, will be “ineffective” in the game. Respawn head Vince Zampella also confirmed that the team would be looking into mod and mapping tools after release.

Titanfall will release in two months on March 11 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Judging from what EA cooked up with Battlefield 4 and SimCity, I would suggest cancelling your pre-orders and waiting it out to confirm that the release is smooth.
