Tale of Tales Launches Pay-What-You-Want Bundle For Its Anniversary

Belgian developer Tale of Tales is celebrating ten years of existence and launches a bundle for its anniversary. For a price starting at $5 and employing a pay-what-you-want model for anything above that, you can grab no less than 18 titles from their library.

In tradition of the developer’s eccentric design, many of these things are prototypes and otherwise unreleased projects. Most of these items won’t be available ever again, outside of this sale, so you might want to act fast.

For instance, one of their first works includes nude models for Quake 3 Arena. It was part of a theme, which also included a 3D world called Eden Garden that features characters slightly resembling those scans in Papers, Please.

You’ll also be able to pretty much go through the entire development journey of their game simply called “8.” In the bundle, you’ll find multiple 8 demos, which range from works in 2002 to 2011.

When everyone was hopping on the World of Warcraft train in the early 2000’s, it looks like Tale of Tales tried doing so as well with The Endless Forest. Sadly, as a lone developer, they lacked funds to complete this project.

Of course, you’ll want games you actually know to buy that bundle. That’s where you can count on The Path to tickle your experimental mind.

In its extension, some of you may also remember the release of Bientôt l’été. Some scenery from this explorative title is included in this deal as well.

Proceeds from this bundle will go towards funding a new game from Tale of Tales.
