Sorry folks, if you were not chosen for the closed beta of Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and were expecting to get your hands on the Hearthstone open beta soon you are still out of luck as the open beta launch has been delayed by Blizzard.
Originally, Hearthstone open beta was scheduled to welcome everyone onto the game this month but now fans will have to wait until January 2014.
Jason Chayes, the Production Director made a post on the Battle.net Blog today stating that the developers needed more time to polish up the game.
“We believe the right thing to do for the game is to not rush it out into open beta, but to instead hold onto it a little longer to make sure it’s ready for wider testing,” he said.
“But we’re just not quite there yet,” said Chayes when referring to their announcement at Blizzcon that they hoped to bring Hearthstone in a state where it was ready for open beta by this month. He insisted that the team wanted to ensure a perfect launch for the game.
Blizzard right now i pretty close to releasing the open beta, but the closed beta testers are still being asked to report bugs, if and when they find some.
Moreover, the developer is now aiming for a larger testing base for the game’s closed beta. Closed beta invites have now been sent to everyone who opted into it before Monday, December 16. This means if you had applied for it previously and have not been given a key, you will get it now.
How many of you are waiting for Hearthstone open beta?
