Microsoft Game Studios has confirmed that the side-scrolling platformer from Press Play, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, will launch tomorrow, December 20, on Xbox One. When released, the game will cost $14.99 and will be available through the Xbox Games Store only.
As evident from the title of the game, players will take control of Max who sets out on a quest to rescue his younger brother. On his quest players will come across various puzzles and hostiles that need to be solved and taken out, in order to proceed further. Helping him out is his trusty Magic Marker, an enchanted item that allows the manipulation of objects in the environment. It is with this Magic Marker that Max will be solving complex puzzles to open ways, set aside obstacles and eliminate any threats.
In total, the Magic Marker can draw five materials: earth pillars, branches, vines, fire and water streams. How these are combined is left on to the player. — and combine them to solve puzzles.
Max: The Curse of Brotherhood will see to a delayed release on the Xbox 360 in early 2014.
