PopCap Games today announced a new mode for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, which is a remix of Rush and Conquest gameplay modes from Battlefield.
Called “Gardens and Graveyards”, the new mode will feature support for a total of 24 players and incorporate tower-defense elements, much like what we have seen in Plants vs Zombies games.
Upon the start of the mode, the zombies team will rush out to capture and turn garden bases into graveyards; while the plants team will attempt to prevent them from doing so. If the zombies fail in their mission, the game is over. If they succeed, then the battle moves forward to a new base at a new location.
You can check out the first exclusive look to the mode above which also shows off the Driftwood Shores map.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is a third-person shooter set in the same Plants vs Zombies universe. The game is highly reminiscent of Team Fortress 2, with the same class roles and induced humor. Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be released February 18 on Xbox One.
A PC version has been confirmed to be in the works but we still have to see an official announcement or the mentioning of a release date.
