After a long wait, DayZ Standalone Early Access is finally available on Steam. The version is priced at $29.99 and has been developed by Dean Hall along with Bohemia Interactive.
The players’ primary objective is to survive in a world of scarce resources. Bohemia Interactive explains that players will have to make their choices really carefully as their is no extra lives and game saves. Furthermore, the wrong decisions are severely punishable.
“There are no superficial tips, waypoints, built in tutorials or help given to players. Every decision matters, there are no save games, no extra lives, every mistake can be lethal.”
Since the game is in its Alpha phase, the developers have warned the consumers that they should buy the game on their own risk since it will be swarming with bugs and issues. Only those consumers are encouraged to buy who are willing to take part in the development of the game.
“THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING.”
Those who are interested in buying can check Steam Store for further details.
