There will be a playable Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z demo on the European Playstation Network and Xbox Live tomorrow, December 18. It will include both offline and online modes and a select few fighters.
In the demo, you’ll be able to get your hands on the first four missions of the game. You can pick either Goku, Kid Gohan, Krillin or Piccolo as your character.
Online, you’ll get to fight with other demo users in Mission 04: The Fearsome Saiyan or partake in Co-op Mode or Battle Mode. Later on, however, you won’t be able to join the fray with people who own the full version of the game, coming early next year.
Still, some data from this demo can be transferred to the full release. Any mission progress and characters can be kept, as well as Dragon Points and Premium Points, any obtained cards and player log data.
If you don’t feel like actually pressing buttons, then publisher Namco Bandai has 17 minutes gameplay put up in a video, just for you. It shows a few missions, along with menus for items and so on.
In the game, you’ll be able to equip certain cards to strengthen your character before the fight. Each specific trait has an amount of slots available, depending on what fighter you choose.
Gameplay reveals the usual big, open levels for the series, as well as a range of rudimentary attacks and special moves. One round also has multiple fighters joining the stage at once.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z will release on January 24, 2014 in Europe for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Playstation Vita.
