Square Enix have announced a collector’s edition for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for the PlayStation 3 in North America. However, it will be exclusive to the Square Enix Online Store and won’t be available else where.
The Collector’s Edition will include a five lithographs of iconic artwork and characters, a 40-page hardcover artbook with images from the world of Spira, and the game’s soundtrack featuring over six hours of music.
The Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster collector’s edition will be available on March 18, 2014 for $80, alongside the regular edition of the game. Square Enix also announced today that the Vita version would released on the same date in North America as well, and then on March 21 in Europe.
Both the PS3 and Vita versions will cost $39.99 / £29.99. However, if you buy the game on Vita, you’ll receive Final Fantasy X HD on a game card, while Final Fantasy X-2 HD will be received in the form of a download code.
Note also that you cannot purchase both games separately, “Regardless of what platform (PS3, Vita, PSN) you will get both games for the price of $39.99,” said Square Enix Senior Product Manager Sakura Minamida. He later also added that they have no plans on selling the games separately in the future.
