For its Steam release, shooter Postal 2 will receive an update that adds a ton of new features to the once gory schlock expert. In 2003, the developer fittingly called Running With Scissors released this kitsch game to befuddled audiences. Now, a decade later, it’s getting an update. It’s never too late to improve your game.
In efforts to comply with community requests, it will implement a popular mod called A Week in Paradise into the main campaign. Fans can now play both these events in one sitting. Furthermore, dismemberment created in the mod will be retroactively available in the base title.
It will take a list of weaponry from the Eternal Damnation conversion and put those inside the game as well. With Postal 2 update, You’ll be able to slaughter people with the following items:
- Knuckle dusters
- Flame Thrower
- Grenade Launcher
- Sawn off Shotgun
- Baseball bat
Both these aforementioned modifications also lend their non-playable characters to the environment, which should create more variety. These will, however, be updated for a higher standard.
Users experiencing issues with resolutions can now find some fixes inside the game as well. More so, a launcher can run before the game starts, to prevent crashes.
In an upcoming update, Postal 2 will receive a workshop on Steam to facilitate mod support. Some groundwork for that is already present in this patch. For the DRM-free version update, players will need to wait.
Postal 2 got approved through Steam Greenlight just last year. Again, better late than never.
