Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Will ‘Pop Up On Steam Any Day Now’

Looks like the time is almost here for a Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on the PC, as an official Konami and Kojima Productions podcast reveals that the game will be coming much sooner than anyone expects.

The news comes via a podcast on Soundcloud which you can listen to for yourself here. The whole thing is about 36 minutes long and if you only want to hear about the game on PC, skip ahead to minute 35, which is where the question is popped by a commenter.

The news is a bit of a relief, as Konami seemed to have gone completely silent on the topic of a PC port for Metal Gear Rising for quite a while. The screenshot that you see in the header was Tweeted by Hideo Kojima way back in October, when he said that the port was looking good.

This is the first PC Port that Platinum Games have ever done, so there could be some hijinks. Despite that, I have high hopes that it’s a successful transfer. I just worry that the control scheme might get completely crazy, still, we could always play it with a controller right?

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released back in February of 2013 and was received positively. The game focuses on Raiden, the cyborg ninja from MGS: Guns of the Patriots and MGS: Sons of Liberty, and contrary to previous Metal Gear games, focuses on fast-paced hack and slash combat. It’s set four years after the events of Guns of The Patriots.
