2D side-scroller Cyberpunk RPG Dex has successfully gone past its initial funding goal on Kickstarter and now will be coming out for the Wii U, as well as PC, Mac, Linux and Ouya.
Originally the game pledged a goal of £14,000 and ended with more than £31,000. Crossing the 31k barrier means that the game will receive new armors that will give you aesthetically different looks alongside minor bonuses and special abilities.
There are also going to be new areas and stages, including at least four more side-missions.
The game draws inspiration from games like Castlevania, Metroid and, more recently, Deus Ex and Splinter Cell series. The cyberpunk RPG takes on a strong storyline featuring realistic action sequences, story decisions that will have an impact on your character’s progression and resulting outcomes, a unique hacking mechanic that turns the game into a new corner.
From the looks of it, Dex is looking to be quite a good title that gives players the freedom to explore with an abundance of options available.
Dex will release next year on the PC, Mac, Linux and Ouya first. It will then arrive on the Wii U console after a three months delay in late 2014. For more information on the title you can visit its Kickstarter page.
